Conformal coating
To protect PCBs from harsh conditions while in use, we have conformal coating equipment. Conformal coating is a thin, protective layer applied to PCBs to safeguard them from various environmental factors. It is a crucial component in ensuring the reliability and longevity of PCBs, especially in harsh or demanding environments such as medical, industrial, or IoT industries. At our facility, PCB loading, coating, curing, and unloading are all fully automated and inline processes. We utilize a non-volatile UV coating that cures quickly in UV light. Precise coating coordinates identify spots that need coating or should be left uncoated. Numerous coating nozzles ensure accurate filling and application.
The coating process is as follows: The appropriate conformal coating is chosen based on specific application requirements. Using dispensing equipment, the coating is applied according to patterns. After application, curing is performed through UV radiation, or a combination of both, to ensure optimal adhesion and protection. Finally, the operator checks the coating thickness using a coating thickness gauge.Having conformal coating equipment in-house helps us achieve flexibility and a faster turnaround time. This improves product reliability and allows us to respond quickly to partner needs or changes.
